Deserto Bledowska
Bledowska Desert is the only natural dessert in Europe. An Oscar-nominated Polish film "Pharaon" was shot here. The dessert is 4 kilometres wide and 10 kilometres long. The sand was brought and accummulated here by the waters of a meltic glacier. In the Middle Ages, the nearby trees were wiped out for the mining purposes and the water table was lowered, which made the ground unable to suport the flora.
